President of 65th Session of General Assembly Holds Farwell Press Conference

Joseph Deiss, of Switzerland, holds his final news conference as General Assembly President today. Mr. Deiss stated that during the 65th session, the General Assembly has made progress in dealing with the issues of poverty reduction, global governance, a green economy and sustainable development. "I am satisfied with what has been achieved under these three main headings," he said of his tenure, which ends on Monday.
