Jan McAlpine, Director, United Nations Forum on Forests Secretariat, hugs Laísa Santos Sampaio (Brazil), who was accepting a Forest Heroes award on behalf of her sister and brother-in-law, Maria do Espírito Santo and José Claudio Ribeiro, tragically murdered in Brazil while trying to protect their natural forests.
