UNAMID "Lends a Leg" to Commemorate the International Day of Mine Awareness

Fifteen members of the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) - five civilians, five police advisors and five military - in Abu Shouk village, (North Darfur) participate in the ""Lend your Leg"" campaign.
""Lend Your Leg"" is organized by United Nations to commemorate the International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, celebrated on 4 April. People are encouraged to show solidarity with survivors of land mines and other explosive remnants of war by rolling up a pant leg or sleeve.
