Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Arrives in New York by Sailboat

Greta Thunberg (with microphone), 16-year-old climate activist from Sweden, briefs the press as she arrived in New York City today, where she will attend the UN Climate Action Summit in September. She embarked on a trans-Atlantic voyage on 14 August from Plymouth, England to New York City on a solar-powered, zero-emission racing boat, the Malizia II, promoting action to address the climate emergency and support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
