Security Council Considers Situation in Middle East

Joanna Wronecka, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of August, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East. At right is Hasmik Egian, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).
The Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2485 (2019) extending the mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) until 31 August 2020.
