Original United Nations Charter Comes to Headquarters

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stands next to the original copy of the Charter of the United Nations. The original founding document was brought from Washington D.C. by Jana Dambrogio, United States National Archives Senior Conservator, for the second-term swearing-in ceremony of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
