Darfur International Conference on Water for Sustainable Peace Opens

The opening session of the Darfur International Conference on Water for Sustainable Peace. The two-day conference is the first major international effort to build an innovative and sustainable water service system for all communities in Darfur. The conference is a joint initiative of the United Nations African Union - Assistance Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), the Government of Sudan and the various UN agencies and programmes in Sudan.
