UNSG Panel on Referenda Visits Polling Centres in South Sudan

The members of the UN Secretary-General's Panel on the Referenda in Sudan visit a polling station in North Bari, near Juba, Southern Sudan's capital, on the first day of voting in the South's referendum. The three-member Panel: Raj Pokharel (front, second from left), former Chief Election Commissioner of Nepal; Benjamin Mkapa (front, second from right), former President of Tanzania and Chair of the Panel; and António Monteiro, former Foreign Minister of Portugal.
