Candidate in Ivorian Presidential Elections Casts Ballot

Alassane Dramane Ouattara, former Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire and candidate for the Rally of the Republicans (RDR) party, casts his ballot in Côte d'Ivoire's long-awaited presidential elections at a polling station at Sainte-Marie Secondary School in Abidjan. The United Nations mission in the country (UNOCI) has increased its forces by 500 troops to provide continued technical, logistical and security support during the electoral period.
