Health Needs in the Congo Appraised by Director-General of WHO

During a five day visit to the Republic of the Congo, Dr. M. Candau, Director-General of the World Health Organization, discussed health problems with the Congolese Health Minister in Leopoldville, and met with the UN Secretary-General concerning the role of WHO in UN operations in the Congo. He also met with and reviewed the work of WHO staff members on duty in the Congo.
