Timor-Leste President Speaks at 5 May Celebration of UNAMET Agreement

José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste, opens the 5 May Garden in Dili. The garden, which up until recently had been a camp for displaced persons, commemorates the 10-year anniversary of the 5 May Agreement between Indonesia and Portugal, under the auspices of the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNAMET), to set Timor-Leste on the course to independence.
