General Assembly Meeting on HIV/AIDS and Georgia

Juan Antonio Yáñez-Barnuevo (left), Permanent Representative of Spain to the United Nations and Vice-President of the General Assembly, chairs a General Assembly meeting on HIV/AIDS and post-conflict issues relating to Georgia. The General Assembly adopted a text recognizing the right of return of internally displaced persons throughout Georgia, including Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and also adopted a declaration of commitment concerning HIV/AIDS.
