United Nations Peace-keeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP)

The United Nations Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) is composed of military contingents placed at the disposal of the UN by Austria (medical unit), Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The Force includes a Civilian Police whose members are provided by Australia, Austria, Denmark, New Zealand and Sweden.

Seen here at their barracks in Nicosia are six military police. They are (l. to r.): Sgt. L. F. McDonald (Canada), J. H. Jorgensen (Denmark), Sgt. V. Rinne (Finland), J. Mcguire (Ireland), Sgt. G. Wilheimsson (Sweden), and Sgt. L. Bulgin (United Kingdom).
