Senior Policy Advisor from US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Visits South Sudan

An American delegation visits Protection of Civilians sites in Juba, South Sudan. The delegation includs Michael Phelan (second from right), Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee; Molly Phee (second from left), Ambassador of the United States to South Sudan; Jeffrey Bakken (right), USAID Mission Director in South Sudan; and Thomas Benz, Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy in South Sudan. The delegation toured Protection of Civilians site 1, including the International Medical Corps clinic, and met with camp leaders and women's representatives in Protection of Civilians site 3. They also met with Ellen Løj (not pictured), Special Representative of the Secretary-General in South Sudan and Head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
