U.N. Secretary-General at Official Reception in Leopoldville

U.N. Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld was the guest of honor at an official reception held here this evening. The Secretary-General arrived in Leopoldville on 13 September, in response to an invitation by Premier Cyrille Adoula, to discuss United Nations aid and support to the Republic of the Congo.
Here, Mr. Hammarskjöld (l.) is seen at the reception as he was about to shake hands with Mrs. Kasa-Vubu, wife of President Joseph Kasa-Vubu (centre).
