United Nations "Workshop" for World Education

Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, Chairwoman of the U.N. Human Rights Commission, entertains members of UNESCO Seminar on the grounds of her home.

The Seminar was organized and conducted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in co-operation with the U.N., with the purposes to devise means of presenting the U.N. System to children, to acquaint leading educators from different nations with the U.N., to examine existing materials and produce new materials for school use and provide experience in international living.
