Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

In search of new sources of food and fats, FAO has sent a scientific mission to Venezuela, to study the possibilities of utilizing the wild oil-bearing palm nuts. In the rich, almost unexplored forests, the mission has found countless palm trees which could be exploited industrially to the great benefit of the whole of mankind. Here a member of the expedition shows an example of a stem of Coruba palm nuts.
