Dr. L. E. Kirk, chief of the Plant Industry Branch, and Elsie Markley of the FAO Agriculture Division fill the five-pound canvas sacks with seed of Wisconsin-developed hybrids purchased by FAO from experiment stations in that U.S. state. The remaining two-thirds of the seed is being donated this year by the American Seed Trade Association.
