Italy Signs Convention of Status of Refugees

Ambassador Gastone Guidotti, Permanent Observer of Italy to the UN, signs the Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, adopted in Geneva in 1951 by the
United Nations Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Status of Refugees and Stateless Persons. The signing is witnessed by Constantin Stavropoulos, Acting Assistant Secretary-General in charge of the Legal Department.
In signing, Italy made reservations to 10 of the 46 articles in the Convention.
