Upper Volta Signs Basic Agreement for Special Fund Assistance

The Government of the Republic of Upper Volta today signed a basic agreement governing the provision of assistance from the United Nations Special Fund. The agreement sets out conditions under which Special Fund assistance may be provided to that country.
During the ceremony at which the signing took place are (seated): Ambassador Frederic Guirma (left), Permanent Representative of the Republic of Upper Volta to the U.N., who signed on behalf of his country, and Mr. Paul G. Hoffman, Managing Director of the Special Fund.
