Guided Tour Service at United Nations Headquarters

At United Nations Headquarters, the American Association for the United Nations (A.A.U.N.) maintains a Unit Which, in cooperation with the Special Services Division of the U.N. Department of Public Information, welcomes visitors, answers questions, gives public briefings and operates a Guided Tour Service. The tour service, which began on 20 October 1952 with a staff of 10 guides, is now manned by 50 women guides, sneaking fifteen languages, and has conducted over 500,000 visitors on tours through U.N. Headquarters.
