Hydroelectric Development in Mexico

Hydroelectric Development in Mexico

"To Combine Our Efforts..."
Loans build industries. To solve the problem of financing economic reconstruction and advancement, a specialized agency of the United Nations, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, grants loans to war-devastated and under-developed countries. The loans are used for hydroelectric power development, e.g., Mexico (shown here), improvement of agriculture, rebuilding of port facilities, etc.

A loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development help Mexico to develop its hydroelectric power.

Reforestation is conducted wherever a dam is being built; this picture shows reforestation workers and director in a tree nursery.
