Field Coverage
Denmark is Host to 25 Leaders of Asian Cooperatives
Twenty-five leaders of cooperative movements in seven Asian countries are presently in Denmark, attending an eight-week training course organized by the Danish National Committee on Technical Assistance, the United Nations, the International Labour Organisation, the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization and the various countries concerned. The course is designed to provide theoretical instruction in cooperatives, in the light of Danish experience and application in the less developed countries. It also includes visits to various cooperative enterprises in Penmark, together with several days' stay in Danish villages, to study the integration of cooperatives with the local economic and social structure.
