Fifth Anniversary of the Death of Dag Hammarskjöld Observed

A wreath-laying ceremony was held today at the United Nations in observance of the fifth anniversary of the death of Dag Hammarskjöld, Secretary-General of the United Nations from 1953 to 1961, and those who accompanied him on his mission in Northern Rhodesia.
