Agricultural Development in the Ivory Coast
The Ivory Coast receives assistance in development of her land and water resources from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) under the UN development Programme (UNDP). FAO experts advise and instruct in horticulture, agricultural extension and nutrition; and sometimes work in cooperation with the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the Ivory Coast. The Horticultural Centre at Gagnoa is one of several which afford training of agricultural workers in improved crop production and irrigation methods and facilities for school gardens.
