United Nations Emergency Force Observes UN Day

United Nations Day, 24 October, was observed this year by joint celebrations of the people of Gaza, the soldiers of the UN Emergency Force, and a group of entertainers from Yugoslavia. Their combined efforts featured a special UN photo exhibit, a party for the local children, sports events and a ceremonial parade by the UNEF, and special performances by the Yugoslav entertainers in Gaza town,
This photograph, taken during the UNEF series of sports events, shows four members of the Indian contingent--all champions in the 1600 meters relay race.
