Second UN International Atomic Energy Conference

The Second United Nations International Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Atomic Energy is now in progress (1-13 September) at the Palais des Nations, Geneva. Some 5,000 prominent scientists and observers from 69 countries and 9 UN Specialized Agencies are participating in this Conference to exchange the latest knowledge on how atomic energy can be put to work for man's benefit. The public sessions and meetings, during which more than 2,200 papers and 55 films will be presented, are followed daily by the international press and other information media.
