U.N. Assistance in the Congo

Nineteen medical and health teams with a total of 121 staff members, provided by Red Cross and Red Crescent societies or by governments, are now in the Republic of the Congo for aid in the United Nations Civilian Operation there.
Seen here are the three members of a Czechoslovak Red Cross team (2 doctors, 1 male nurse) shortly after they arrived in Pisa, en route to take up duties in the Republic of the Congo. They were later assigned to Banningville, Leopoldville province. [No exact date]
