Dag Hammarskjöld Funeral Service in Sweden

A funeral service attended by great figures from many lands was held this afternoon for the late U.N. Secretary-General, Dag Hammarskjöld. Relatives are seen seated alongside the coffin, draped in flags of Sweden and the United Nations, during the ceremony at the Cathedral in Uppsala, the ecclesiastical capital of Sweden and the place where Dag Hammarskjöld was raised.
At the left is Knut Hammarskjöld, a nephew; Sten Hammarskjöld, a brother, with his daughter Marlene; and former governor Bo Hammarskjöld, another brother, with his wife. At the right in prayer is the former Archbishop of Sweden, Erling Eidem.
