Second Session of United Nations Commission on Status of Women

Two members of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women are: Mrs. Bodil Begtrup, Denmark, and Mrs. Graciela Morales F. De Echeverria, Costa Rica.
The fifteen-member organ of the United Nations Economic and Social Council prepares recommendations and reports to the Council on promoting women's rights in political, civil, social and educational fields. The agenda for the present session includes methods of educating new women voters on the use of franchise; economic rights for women, educational opportunities, and prevention of discrimination on grounds of sex.
