Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious, Spiritual Leaders Meets at Headquarters

A group of some 1,000 leaders meet at Headquarters for the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders, organized by individuals and groups active in the interfaith non-governmental organizations (NGO) community. The goal of the Summit is to identify ways that the worldwide religious and spiritual communities can work together as interfaith allies with the United Nations on specific peace, poverty and environmental initiatives. It meets from 28 to 31 August 2000.
