Security Council Meets on Silencing the Guns in Africa

Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea and President of the Security Council for the month of February, chairs the Security Council meeting on Silencing the Guns in Africa through cooperation between the United Nations and regional and subregional organizations in maintaining international peace and security. During the meeting the Council voted to adopt unanimously resolution 2457 (2019) on Silencing the guns in Africa by the Year 2020.
