Joint Press Conference Given by Secretary-General and President of UN Conference on Human Environment

A joint press conference was given today at the Old Parliament Building by Maurice Strong, Secretary-General of the U.N. Conference on Human Environment, and Ingemund Bengtsson, Minister of Agriculture of Sweden and President of the Conference. The two-week UN Conference on Human Environment which ended today had been called by the General Assembly with the aim of producing an international political consensus on ways of preserving and improving the environment for this and future generations.
