President of Latvia Presents Gift to United Nations

Guntis Ulmanis (behind podium), President of Latvia, speaking at the unveiling of a tapestry called "Hope" by the Latvian artist Edite Pauls-Vignere. The tapestry, a gift from Latvia, was accepted by Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali on behalf of the United Nations.
