Vegetable canning factory in Maseru. Lesotho's soil is ideal for growing asparagus, a vegetable that can be easily marketed in Europe. In an effort to help the farmers to export their produce, the Governnent of Lesotho has established a vegetable canning factory in Maseru with assistance from the UN Development Programme (UNDP).
