Celebration of International Day of Forests: "Forests and Education"

Members of Lower Eastside Girls Club, a community centre for art, science and civic engagement in New York City, participate in the special event on ""Forests and Education"", held in observance of the International Day of Forests.
The International Day of Forests is held annually on 21 March to raise awareness of the importance of forests to people and their vital role in poverty eradication, environmental sustainability and food security.
