Secretary-General Meets with Foreign Ministers of Five Permanent Members of Security Council

The Secretary-General had earlier addressed the Security Council consultations on the Iran-Iraq situation, in the course of which, it had been hoped, the five members would arrive at a unified approach to enforcing a cease-fire.
