UN Secretary-General Pays Official Visit to Ethiopia

The Secretary-General, U Thant, paid an official visit to Ethiopia from 2-5 February and attended the tenth anniversary commemorations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa. During his visit, Secretary-General U Thant, attended the opening of an ECA exhibition on small-scale industries in Addis Ababa, with the Emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie I (right).
