Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali (right) is greeted by Maurice Strong, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), upon his arrival at Rio Centro for the first day of the Conference. Mr. Strong also presided as Secretary-General of the Environment Conference at Stockholm, 5-16 June 1972.
