United Nations Receives Gift of Sculpture from Luxembourg

The Government of Luxembourg today presented the United Nations with a gift of a sculpture by the noted artist Karl Fredrik Reutersward. The sculpture "Non-Violence", consists of a large replica in bronze of a 45-calibre revolver, the barrel of which is tied into a knot, and was created in 1980 as a Peace symbol. It is located on the apron of the General Assembly building facing First Avenue at 45th Street.
