General Assembly Holds Third Special Session on Disarmament

The General Assembly opened its third special session devoted to disarmament at UN Headquarters on 31 May. During the month-long session, Member States will try to achieve agreement on an international agenda covering action on a board range of disarmament-related issues. Twenty-five Heads of State or Government are scheduled to address the session which will run through 25 June 1988.
