General Assembly Asked to Declare Opening Day of Regular Session 'International Day of Peace": Debate on Apartheid Begins

The representative of Costa Rica this afternoon introduced a 16-Power draft resolution by which the General Assembly would declare that the opening day of the regular session "shall be officially dedicated and observed as the International Day of Peace." Also this afternoon, the Assembly began consideration of the item entitled "Policies of apartheid of the Government of South Africa."
