Security Council Extends UNFICYP Mandate to 15 June

12 December 1985

The Security Council met on the morning of 12 December and unanimously adopted resolution 578 (1985) to extend the mandate of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) for a further period of six months, until 15 June 1986. The current mandate expires on 15 December.
