Reception for Representatives of the Palestine Liberation Organization at UN Headquarters

Dr. Ahmed Esmat Abdel Meguid, Permanent Representative of Egypt to the UN and this month's Chairman of the Arab Group, gave a reception at UN Headquarters this evening for representatives of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The PLO was invited by the General Assembly on 14 October to participate in its debate on the question of Palestine. That debate began today. The head of the PLO, Yasser Arafat, was the first speaker.
