Mobile Court Supported by UNMISS Opens in Bentiu

A mobile court supported by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) opened in Bentiu on 11 December 11, 2018. The intention is to handle cases of crimes committed inside and outside of the Mission's Protection of Civilians site. The opening of the mobile court, consisting of two judges, two court officials, two prosecutors, two defense counsels, and one investigator from the South Sudan National Police Service, is in response to a directive by the Chief Justice of South Sudan.
