Women at the UN in 1974 -- International Women's Year Minus One

Members of the Ethiopian delegation to the 29th session of the General Assembly, headed by Zewde Gabre-Sellassie, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Yodith Imru, centre, was one of only three deputy heads of delegation to the session. There were only two women heads of delegations. (The organization now has 138 Members.) Konjit Sine-Giorgis, left, was an alternate representative. [October 1974]
