Security Council Begins Consideration of Complaint by Botswana

The Security Council, meeting this afternoon for the first time in 1977, began consideration of a complaint by Botswana concerning incursions into its territory by forces of the illegal Ian Smith regime in Southern Rhodesia. Statements were made by the Foreign Minister of Botswana, Archibald M. Mogwe, and by the representatives of Mauritius, Morocco, Benin, Libya and Venezuela.
