Apartheid Committee Calls for Security Council Action Against South Africa

Eight petitioners appeared this morning before the Special Committee against Apartheid to condemn the killings and violence by the South African regime during the last week and to call for action by the UN and the international community. The Committee observed a minute of silence in memory of all those martyrs who have been killed in South Africa for their opposition to the inhuman policy of apartheid.
George Houser, of the American Committee on Africa, a petitioner who appeared before the Committee this morning, calling, is seen making a statement.
