Tenth Special Session of the General Assembly Devoted to Disarmament
The tenth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament opened on 23 May in New York. The session is scheduled to conclude on 28 June. Lazar Mojsov, Vice-Minister of External Relations of Yugoslavia and President of the 32nd regular session of the Assembly, was elected President of the current session. The Assembly established an Ad Hoc Committee of the special session and elected Carlos Ortiz de Rozas of Argentina as its Chairman. The Assembly on the afternoon of 5 June heard statements by the President of Senegal, the Prime Minister of Greece, the Foreign Minister of Democratic Yemen and the representatives of Sudan and Mali.
