Second Committee Hears 15 Speakers on Question of World Campaign for Universal Literacy

The Second Committee (Economic and Financial) this morning heard the representatives of 15 countries in the discussion on the question of the world campaign for universal literacy. Following the introduction of a 16-Power draft resolution by Princess Ashraf Pahlavi (Iran) statements were made by the representatives of Morocco, United States, Italy, Ecuador, Nigeria, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, Ivory Coast, Japan, France, Turkey, Bolivia, Netherlands and the Soviet Union.
